Boomtown Media has just finished the shooting of another musical documentary: PORGY & ME – The lasting journey of Porgy & Bess (WT).

This project, co-financed by NDR/ARTE, DFFF and Mediaboard Berlin-Brandenburg, takes audiences on a bold journey to the centre of a very particular artistic microcosm: the passionate struggle of Afro-American opera singers for recognition and equality. Against the backdrop of George Gershwin’s musical milestone PORGY&BESS author and director Susanna Boehm tells the story of an exceptional family and its passionate struggle for individual self-realisation – a lifelong endeavour. The cinematic release of this production is scheduled for late 2009. World Sales are represented by Boomtown Media International.
