Synopsis

MASTERS OF PERFORMANCE
The Official 'Eurovision Young Dancers' Documentary

Once every two years the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) organises its 'Eurovision Young Dancers' contest. Dancers between 15 and 21 years of age come together to take part in one of the top European dance contests. This tough test of talent in front of millions of viewers throughout Europe has already launched many winners on international careers. Young dancers were guests in Warsaw in 2005 and had to show their accomplishments in the festive gala finale on the huge stage of the Polish National Theatre. Participation was granted to only to those competitors who, in the weeks beforehand, had been able to perform convincingly under the eagle gaze of top international ballet-masters and choreographers. The camera follows young dancers from all over Europe from their arrival at the airport to the finale, when the announcement of the awards prompts rapture in some and tears from others.
